Our Heritage
Where Tradition Meets Taste
Basant Ice Cream was born from a deep love for the rich, vibrant flavors of South Asia. Our founders grew up savoring kulfi from street vendors, sipping lassi on hot summer days, and celebrating festivals with gulab jamun and panjiri.
When they came to Canada, they missed those authentic tastes — so they decided to bring them here. Every recipe we use has been passed down through generations, adapted with the finest Canadian ingredients while staying true to its roots.

Every flavor at Basant is made fresh in small batches. We don't cut corners — our Raj Bhog uses real saffron and cardamom, our Kulfi is slow-churned for hours, and our Mango ice cream features real Alphonso mangoes.

We are proud to call Canada home. Our ice cream is produced right here in Canada, using locally sourced milk and cream wherever possible. We celebrate the multiculturalism that makes this country great.
Our menu is a reflection of Canada's diversity — you'll find classic Maple ice cream alongside traditional Khoya Kulfi, hot Gulab Jamun next to chocolate-dipped popsicles. This is what makes Basant special.
